About me

Hey there!

I am a lover of good stories, beautiful visuals, and the warmth of a strong Tea. And as a filmmaker, I get to integrate all three into one awesome job. I have worked as a Cinematographer and Colorist for projects with Netflix, Bloomberg, Abbott, and more.

I have made my directorial debut with the short film “Malwa Khushan”. The film was developed after winning the KASHISH QDrishti Grant 2022. Later, it went into four Oscar-qualifying festivals, including the Tasveer and Uppsala film festivals. It was also selected at the prestigious  Dharamshala International Film Festival and IRIS Prize. I have received the Riyad Wadia Award for Best Emerging Indian Filmmaker in 2023 for the film.

My debut feature fiction project, “Soma Helang” is in development. It was a part of NFDC Film Bazaar, India 2024, and The Writer’s Ink Lab 2024.

Against the odds, My parents sent me to Photoshop coaching classes when I was in 7th standard, and then my journey to become a software geek never stopped. From editing to color grading, I’ve learned filmmaking’s technical aspects and use them to make my work shine. It all started back in 2016 when I worked as an assistant editor for Mr. Chandrashekhar Prajapati. The following year, I got to help Mr. Nicola Gasparri with DI color grading, and this taught me a lot about the technical side of filmmaking.

I’ve worked on some incredible projects since then, some of which have even been acquired by Netflix. My visual storytelling abilities have improved due to these experiences, and I’m thrilled to work as a cinematographer today.

Recently, I had the opportunity to master the creative craft of cinematography in greater detail while assisting Mr. Siddharth Diwan on an upcoming movie.

Oh, and I’m also a co-founder of Longway Studios, where I get to collaborate with some very interesting people and produce some cool content.
