About me

Hey there!

I have been making films independently since 2014, wearing multiple hats, from directing and writing to cinematography, editing, and color grading. As a Cinematographer and Colorist, I worked on projects with Netflix, Discovery Channel, Bloomberg, Abbott, Cipla, and more. I was the DOP on “Tuition” a Netflix’s TakeTen grant project produced by Anupama Chopra.

I have made my directorial debut with the short film “Malwa Khushan”. The film was developed after winning the KASHISH QDrishti Grant 2022. The film competed in 4 Oscar-qualifying festivals, including Tasveer and Uppsala, and BAFTA-qualifying IRIS Prize. In 2023. I was honored with the Riyad Wadia Award for Best Emerging Indian Filmmaker for the film. It was also selected at the prestigious  Dharamshala International Film Festival.

My debut feature fiction project, “Soma Helang” is in development with Neeraj Churi as a Producer(SABAR BONDA, Sundance Jury Prize Winner) and Shubham Negi as its Co-director and Co-writer. It was a part of NFDC Film Bazaar Co Production Market, India 2024, and The Writer’s Ink Lab 2024.

Back in 2016, I worked as an assistant editor for Mr. Chandrashekhar Prajapati. The following year, I got to help Mr. Nicola Gasparri in After Studio with DI color grading, and this taught me a lot about the technical side of filmmaking.

In 2025, I was a part of a non-fiction residency program led by Sameera Jain, where I explored the ethics of the gaze and the relationship between content and form, helping me to bring a new perspective to my cinematography practice.

In 2024, I had the opportunity to master the creative craft of cinematography in greater detail while assisting Mr. Siddharth Diwan on an upcoming movie.
